Chante Hamilton

I kickstarted my academic journey at Georgia State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, which laid the groundwork for my career in improving community health. Currently, I am completing my MPH program in Epidemiology at Emory University, where my concentration lies in data management, protocol development, outbreak control, and research into preventative health measures. Alongside my studies, I am getting certified in infectious disease, sharpening my skills to tackle contagious illnesses head-on. My interest in HIV/AIDS research stems from my personal experiences growing up in Atlanta, where HIV/AIDS prevalence is significant. Witnessing the disease's impact firsthand fueled my determination to contribute to the fight against HIV. Moreover, I am driven by a desire to address health disparities, particularly among marginalized groups. I aim to understand the factors influencing HIV transmission and develop targeted interventions to support those most affected.
