Samruddhi Nandkumar Borate

Samruddhi ‘Sam' Nandkumar is currently working as a graduate student at the CORE lab. She is pursuing her PhD at the University of Georgia, College of Pharmacy’s Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy. Previously, she has worked as a Junior Research Associate at a Health Economics and Outcomes Research consulting firm in India and was involved in questionnaire-based primary research, systematic reviews, and real-world evidence studies. Her past projects included assessing the knowledge and awareness of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) in at-risk groups and healthcare professionals in India. She holds a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and a Master's with a specialization in Pharmaceutics from BITS Pilani, India. Leveraging her pharmacy background and her research experiences, she aims to improve the pharmaceutical health outcomes of underrepresented groups by advocating for affordable healthcare and conducting community-based research initiatives.
